Program-Specific Scholarships

Scholarships are available to the following programs, from Education Abroad and from other IU units.

Scholarships awarded by Education Abroad are based on both financial need and academic merit. Other units employ independent criteria, but generally include academic merit and financial need.

Bologna, Italy: Limited Education Abroad scholarships of $1,500-2,500 each; IUB Department of French & Italian Carol Hofstadter Scholarship of $1,000
Canterbury, England: Limited Education Abroad scholarships of $1,500-2,500; Sheona K. Mackenzie & Neil D. Theobald Scholarship of $2,250
Freiburg, Germany: Jim Perin Study Abroad Scholarships of $2,000-$5,000; IUB Department of Germanic Studies William Goodwin Study Abroad Scholarship of $1,250
Madrid, Spain: Limited Education Abroad scholarships of $1,500-2,500
Nagoya, Japan: Limited Education Abroad scholarships of $1,500-2,500; Japanese government scholarships of up to $10,000 and remission of IU fees $1,250; Kaoru Ando Memorial Scholarships of $1,000

Adelaide, Australia: Reduced-rate exchange positions for 1-2 Indiana residents per year
Aix-en-Provence, France: Education Abroad scholarships of $1,000-1,250; Roland A. Cote Scholarship of $2,000
Bologna, Italy: Education Abroad scholarships of $1,000-1,250; IUB Department of French & Italian Carol Hofstadter Scholarship of $500
Buenos Aires-CIEE, Argentina: One Rachel DiPietro-James Scholarship of $1,000, typically awarded to fall semester participant.
