Each year a $2,000 "Roland A. Cote Scholarship" will be awarded to a student with a 3.5 GPA or higher with financial need who has been accepted to a semester or academic year program in France. Preference will be given to applicants to the IU-administered program in Aix-en-Provence.
All applicants to all eligible programs will automatically be considered for this scholarship. No separate scholarship application is required.
This scholarship was established by Susan Cote in memory of Roland A. Cote (1946 – 2013) who retired in 2011 as the Registrar of Indiana University after serving IU for four decades. Having spent his own junior year abroad in France, he was forever passionate about study abroad. As the Registrar, he helped create flexible administrative systems that simplified and improved the study abroad experience for IU students.
