New Student Resource Center

Welcome, New Student Orientation students and families. In lieu of meeting you in-person, we have curated the following resources to help you get started on your study abroad journey. After reviewing the resources below, if you still have questions, contact us at edabroad@iu.edu.

Studying abroad is a great choice for most students, and our resources can help you think about your financial, academic, and personal considerations. Additionally, you can search our programs through a variety of ways, including geography, length of program, or language of study, to find the study abroad opportunity that’s right for you.

New Student Orientation is the ideal time to let your academic advisor(s) know that you may want to study abroad during your time at IU. Talk about this early – and often – so you can maximize your study abroad options and graduate on time.

Meet with academic advisor

Our study abroad advisors are happy to talk with new students. Our advising appointments are the most efficient if you have already done some research and/or met with your academic advisor. Our advisors have a set portfolio of programs, but any advisor can talk with you about general study abroad questions.
