Education Abroad administers a range of scholarship that award over $100,000 in scholarship support annually on the basis of financial need and academic merit. Scholarships are available in several categories. All applicants to all eligible programs will AUTOMATICALLY be considered for these scholarships. No separate application is required. Note: Education Abroad relies on the official assessment of "financial need" conducted by the IU Office of Student Financial Assistance to verify each applicant's financial circumstances. This information is based on the completed FAFSA. It is recommended all students complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the March 1st priority deadline to be eligible for need-based scholarships (https://fafsa.ed.gov). | ||

IU's 18th President, Michael McRobbie, and the IU Foundation established a scholarship program to help make study abroad more affordable for students who might not be able to study abroad otherwise through an endowment income matching program.
