• Full range of university courses, including strong programs in Australian studies, Asian studies, natural sciences, visual arts, music. 
  • Unpaid, for-credit internship available in a variety of fields
    • ARTSEXP2003 or POLIS3107 are the two internship seminars open to IU students 
  • Internships are managed through Adelaide's Student Internships office
• All classes with Australian students

Housing is not arranged by Education Abroad. Students must apply independently for housing in Adelaide, just as Australian students do. Education Abroad encourages students to apply for more than one housing option simultaneously as there is limited space available. However, some housing options will require an application fee and an extensive application. 

The University of Adeliade Village is the University's managed accommodation (open to visiting students). Scape Student Living is a private student accommodation provider ((open to visiting students). Students should apply for these options as soon as Indiana University accepts them to the program. Please visit the University of Adelaide's Accommodation Service for details and other accommodation options. 

You may apply if you:

• are an undergraduate student at any Indiana University campus who is making normal academic progress
• are in at least your fourth full-time semester of college
• Biology majors need to have completed L111, L112 and L113 (or an upper-level lab) prior to participation in the program.
• have approximately a 3.0 cumulative GPA

Students must have a passport valid for six months beyond program's end date.

Students must be able to demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and self-reliance.

Complete eligibility criteria and selection criteria are outlined within the Academic Policies and Procedures of Education Abroad. Selection is based on maturity, seriousness of purpose, and appropriateness of match between program and applicant. Students on disciplinary probation during program period are ineligible.

Program fees for this program will increase starting spring 2025.  Fee will include a component based on student residency.

Financial Aid and Scholarships:

• IU scholarships, grants and loans applicable to program costs with some exceptions. Please carefully check these exceptions before you commit to a program.
• Limited number of travel grants available for Indiana residents to help defray program costs. All Indiana residents will be considered based on need and merit; no additional application is required.
