Tallinn-CIEE

• This is an IU Co-Sponsored Program
• Semester Program with Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) at Tallinn University
• Typical enrollment: 10 students from U.S. colleges and universities

• CIEE "Russian Language & European Studies" program track* 
• Courses taught in Russian by local faculty at Tallinn University 
• Fall final exams held in January; students must arrange an early exam with their instructors at the start of the semester. 
• Optional, unpaid 3-credit internship

• CIEE housing options include:
  • Estonian- and/or Russian-speaking Homestay
    • Single room and shared kitchen, living room, and bathroom
    • Two meals/day and most weekend meals included
    • Located under 40 minutes from CIEE Tallinn
  • Private room in student residence hall near TalTech, within walking distance of CIEE Tallinn
    • Meals not included
• Note: Indiana University will not support plans for students to obtain independent housing. Students are required to live in program-provided housing in Tallinn

You may apply if you:

• are an undergraduate or graduate degree candidate at any Indiana University campus who is making normal academic progress
• are in at least your third full-time semester of college
• have taken or are enrolled in fourth semester college-level Russian
• have approximately a 2.75 cumulative GPA

Students must have a passport valid for six months beyond program's end date.

Students must be able to demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and self-reliance.

Complete eligibility criteria and selection criteria are outlined within the Academic Policies and Procedures of Education Abroad. Selection is based on maturity, seriousness of purpose, and appropriateness of match between program and applicant. Students on disciplinary probation during program period are ineligible.
