Seoul-CIEE

• This is an IU Co-Sponsored Program
• Summer Internship Program at the Council on International Education Exchange (CIEE) Study Center in Seoul
• This 8-week program fulfills the IUB general education World Languages & Cultures requirement

• "Summer Global Internship" Program track* 
• Unpaid, 6-credit internship project with accompanying seminar (with CIEE participants) 
• Includes 225-300 internship placement hours (minimum of 30-35 hours per week) and 15 integrated hours for the academic seminar 
• Placements in media/communications, tourism and hospitality, business, and more

CIEE Housing options include:

• Standard housing
  • Twin room in serviced residence hotel 
• Select Plus housing
  • Single room in residence hotel
  • very limited
  • additional fee charged directly to students
• All housing options are within a 10 minute commute of the city center

• Note: Indiana University will not support plans for students to obtain independent housing. Students are required to live in program-provided housing in seoul.

You may apply if you:

• are an undergraduate student at any Indiana University campus who is making normal academic progress
• are in at least your fourth full-time semester of college
• have approximately a 2.75 cumulative GPA

Students must have a passport valid for six months beyond program's end date.

Students must be able to demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and self-reliance.

Complete eligibility criteria and selection criteria are outlined within the Academic Policies and Procedures of Education Abroad. Selection is based on maturity, seriousness of purpose, and appropriateness of match between program and applicant. Students on disciplinary probation during program period are ineligible.
