IES Abroad "Paris Language Immersion" program*
6 IU credits:
- Students with 2 or 3 semesters of French:
- Intermediate Intensive French Language and Culture course (FRIT-F 296 and either FRIT-F 200 or FRIT-F250)
- Students with 4 or more semesters of French**:
- Advanced Grammar and Culture (FRIT-F 316 (FRIT-F 315 may be granted if a student has already completed FRIT-F 316)) AND
- One of the following: (3 credits each)
- Immigration and Diversity in Paris (FRIT-F 364 (CASE AH))
- Histories and Legends of Paris (FRIT-F 362 (CASE AH))
- French Foreign and European Policy (FRIT-OS 100***)
- Paris Cinema-City (FRIT-F 375 (CASE AH))
** Students with more advanced French, testing out of the grammar course, will be able to enroll in two of the area studies courses
*** Note: -OS 100 is the default designation to identify study abroad courses recorded as 100-level undistributed credit that can count in total hours toward graduation and may be able to satisfy major, minor, or distributional requirements with the approval of participant's school or the department.
