• Summer Internship Program at the Council on International Education Exchange (CIEE) Study Center in Berlin

• "Summer Global Internship" Program track* 
• Unpaid, 6-credit internship project with accompanying seminar (with CIEE participants) 
  • Includes 45 academic course hours and 225-300 internship placement hours (minimum of 30-35 hours per week)
  • Placements in marketing and communications, business, technology and entrepreneurship, life sciences, energy and sustainability, arts management, fashion design, and more

• Standard Housing:
  • All housing options are located within 45 minutes of CIEE Berlin; commute time to the student's internship site will vary and students must be prepared to plan ahead.
  • Homestays
    • The kitchen, living room, and bathroom are shared with a host family. Students who live with host families receive breakfast and dinner daily.
  • CIEE G27 Dormitory
    • Features triples and quad rooms on campus. They have en-suite bathrooms, are fully furnished, and are equipped with a fridge, microwave, and Wi-Fi. The dormitory has four large, shared student kitchens, five student lounges, and a laundry room.
  • Shared Apartments and Residence Halls
    • Off-campus shared apartments offer kitchens, common areas, and laundry facilities shared with other students.
    • In residence halls and at shared apartments, students can prepare their own meal in the (shared) kitchens. Basic cooking utensils are provided.
    • In the surrounding neighborhood and throughout the city, there are plenty of restaurants ready for students to explore.

You may apply if you:

• are an undergraduate student at any Indiana University campus who is making normal academic progress
• are in at least your fourth full-time semester of college
• have approximately a 2.75 cumulative GPA

Students must have a passport valid for six months beyond program's end date.

Students must be able to demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and self-reliance.

Complete eligibility criteria and selection criteria are outlined within the Academic Policies and Procedures of Education Abroad. Selection is based on maturity, seriousness of purpose, and appropriateness of match between program and applicant. Students on disciplinary probation during program period are ineligible.
