• This is an IU Co-Sponsored Program
• Semester Program with Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) 
• CIEE Center is located within a traditional neighborhood

• "Middle East Studies" program* track with other U.S. students
• Required language courses
• 2-3 elective courses
• Optional, unpaid 3-credit internship
  • ~8 hours per week

• CIEE housing options include:
  • Homestay (single room)
    • Commute distance to CIEE Center varies
    • Two meals/day and most weekend meals included
  • Single- or double-room apartment with other program participants
    • Commute distance to CIEE Center is under 60 minutes
    • No meals included
• Note: Indiana University will not support plans for students to obtain independent housing. Students are required to live in program-provided housing in Amman.

You may apply if you:

• are an undergraduate student at any Indiana University campus who is making normal academic progress
• are in at least your third full-time semester of college
• have taken or are enrolled in second semester college-level Modern Standard Arabic
• have approximately a 2.75 cumulative GPA

Students must have a passport valid for six months beyond program's end date.

Students must be able to demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and self-reliance.

Complete eligibility criteria and selection criteria are outlined within the Academic Policies and Procedures of Education Abroad. Selection is based on maturity, seriousness of purpose, and appropriateness of match between program and applicant. Students on disciplinary probation during program period are ineligible.
