Summer Internship

Hong Kong is one of the world’s most significant financial centers, and consistently boasts the world’s highest Financial Development Index score, making it an ideal place to pursue an internship experience. On this co-sponsored summer program, US and international students have the opportunity to work full-time in Hong Kong in a variety of industries. They will also earn credit through a center-based course with Global Academic Ventures.

Housing
- Students are required to live in program-provided housing
There will no on-site component in the summer 2021 program.
Program Eligibility
You may apply if you:
- are an undergraduate student at any Indiana University campus who is making normal academic progress
- are in at least your fourth full-time semester of college
- are a Business major in the Kelley School of Business
- are in at least your fourth full-time semester of college
- have approximately a 3.0 cumulative GPA
Students must have a passport valid for six months beyond program's end date.
Students must be able to demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and self-reliance.
Complete eligibility criteria and selection criteria are outlined within the Academic Policies and Procedures of Education Abroad. Selection is based on maturity, seriousness of purpose, and appropriateness of match between program and applicant. Students on disciplinary probation during program period are ineligible.
Costs and Financial Aid

Summer 2019
- IU portion of fee: $293.30 (administrative fees and health insurance)
- GAV portion of fee paid to IU bursar: $6,595 (academic fees, housing, internship placement and support)
- Meals: $1,000
Airfare, personal expenses and vacation travel additional. Initial prepayment of $500 due February 25, 2019.
Financial Aid and Scholarships:
- IU Schurz Career Success Scholarship of $1,500-$2,500
