• Summer Internship Program with IES Abroad
• IES Abroad Center located near the campus of Universita Cattolica
• Field trips and cultural events offered by IES Abroad
• This summer program fulfills the IUB general education World Languages & Cultures requirement (College BA majors are still required to fulfill four semesters of a language)

• Courses taught in English at IES center for IES abroad students only
• "Milan Summer Internship" program track* 
• Unpaid internship 
  • At least 25 hours per week 
  • Placements available in accounting, advertising & marketing, arts (art gallery, music studio production, theater), business & finance, communications, design, e-commerce, education, fashion, logistics, not-for-profit organizations, publishing, and social work

• Furnished apartments with with three to six IES Abroad students in double rooms (single rooms available at additional cost)
• Student residence hall at the Collegio di Milano with Italian and international students. (Space is limited and students are chosen by the Collegio based on academic merit)(Additional Cost)

You may apply if you:

• are an undergraduate student at any Indiana University campus who is making normal academic progress
• are in at least your fourth full-time semester of college
• have approximately a 2.75 cumulative GPA

No Italian language background required. Students with more advanced Italian will have a wider array of internship options available. 

Students must have a passport valid for six months beyond program's end date.

Students must be able to demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and self-reliance.

Complete eligibility criteria and selection criteria are outlined within the Academic Policies and Procedures of Education Abroad. Selection is based on maturity, seriousness of purpose, and appropriateness of match between program and applicant. Students on disciplinary probation during program period are ineligible.

Financial Aid and Scholarships:

• IU Schurz Career Success Scholarship of $1,500-$2,500
• IES Abroad guaranteed aid of up to $7,000 (semester) or up to $3,000 (summer) based on confirmation of official FAFSA Expected Family Contribution. See details. Also see IES Abroad Scholarships and Aid available.
