Kyoto-CIEE Open Campus KSB

Please note: Indiana University co-sponsors CIEE Open Campus programs as single-site options only through standard billing and academic arrangements between IU and the program provider. Students applying to the CIEE Open Campus multi-site program who want to include Kyoto can be accommodated through Non-IU Program procedures. • CIEE Housing options include:
  • Standard housing
    • single room in homestay within 60-minute commute from CIEE Kyoto
    • shared, double room in apartment within 20-minute commute from CIEE Kyoto
  • Select housing
    • private, single apartment under 20 minutes from CIEE Kyoto (additional fee charged directly to students)

• Note: Indiana University will not support plans for students to obtain independent housing. Students are required to live in program-provided housing in Kyoto.

You may apply if you:

• are an undergraduate student at any Indiana University campus who is making normal academic progress
• are in at least your fourth full-time semester of college
• are an admitted Kelley business student
• have approximately a 2.75 cumulative GPA

Business majors must have (or will have) successfully completed the KSB prerequisites of the Business Integrative Core (or equivalent coursework at an IU campus outside Bloomington) by the start of the program.

Students must have a passport valid for six months beyond program's end date.

Students must be able to demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and self-reliance.

Complete eligibility criteria and selection criteria are outlined within the Academic Policies and Procedures of Education Abroad. Selection is based on maturity, seriousness of purpose, and appropriateness of match between program and applicant. Students on disciplinary probation during program period are ineligible.
