Given University of Kent's curriculum changes, students should anticipate severely-restricted course availability beginning Fall 2024. Contact your IU education abroad advisor with questions.

• Courses in the humanities (limited disciplines), social sciences, math, and physical sciences
• IU students cannot enroll in 2nd year Psychology modules (Level 5); practical Drama modules, or modules in the School of Engineering and Digital Arts
• Most ECON, CHEM, MATH, and PHYS courses are not available for the fall-only term. Check with study abroad advisor to determine availability of these modules before applying
• 300-acre campus
• Ideal for students to take courses in their major and/or minor
• All classes taken with British students

You may apply if you:

• are an undergraduate student at any Indiana University campus who is making normal academic progress
• are in at least your fourth full-time semester of college (or fifth semester for spring-only option)
• have significant background (9-12 credits) in a field you can pursue at Kent
• have approximately a 3.0 cumulative GPA

Students must have a passport valid for six months beyond program's end date.

Students must be able to demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and self-reliance.

Complete eligibility criteria and selection criteria are outlined within the Academic Policies and Procedures of Education Abroad. Selection is based on maturity, seriousness of purpose, and appropriateness of match between program and applicant. Students on disciplinary probation during program period are ineligible.

Note: beginning Fall 2024, there has been an increase to the fees paid to IU. Students will be paying approximately $4,000-$5,000 per term more over last years fees. We apologize for the price change, which is due to our agreement with University of Kent. 

Travel grants may be available for Indiana residents with demonstrated financial need. Amounts vary. No separate application is required; all Indiana residents will be considered automatically.

• Most IU scholarships, grants and loans applicable to program costs.
• Education Abroad Scholarships, including Scholarships for Students from IU campuses other than Bloomington.

• IU Scott C. Schurz Pell Match Study Abroad Scholarships for resident undergraduate students with a Pell grant

• IU Sheona K. Mackenzie & Neil D. Theobald Study Abroad Scholarship of $2,250. (All students who submit applications will be considered.)
