• This is an IU Co-Sponsored Program
• Direct Enrollment Semester Program at the University of New South Wales (60,000 students across four campuses) through IES Abroad
  • This is NOT IES Abroad's Trimester UNSW program (which only runs February-May).

• Courses taken alongside U.S. students during their summer/winter terms (January and August) and with Australian students during regular Australian terms (February-May and September-November) 
• Full range of university courses, including strong programs in biology, history, linguistics, media, political science, and psychology 
• University of New South Wales and IES Abroad provide extensive on-site orientation programs, offering visits to local landmarks and informational sessions on such topics as safety and security, cultural adjustment, and politics and current affairs

• On-campus apartment at University of New South Wales Village or University Terraces
• Students are required to live in program-provided housing in Sydney (independent housing is not allowed)

You may apply if you:

• are an undergraduate student at any Indiana University campus who is making normal academic progress
• are in at least your third full-time semester of college
• have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA

Students must have a passport valid for six months beyond program's end date.

Students must be able to demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and self-reliance.

Complete eligibility criteria and selection criteria are outlined within the Academic Policies and Procedures of Education Abroad. Selection is based on maturity, seriousness of purpose, and appropriateness of match between program and applicant. Students on disciplinary probation during program period are ineligible.

Financial Aid and Scholarships:

• IU scholarships, grants and loans applicable to program costs with some exceptions. Please carefully check these exceptions before you commit to a program.
• IES Abroad guaranteed aid of up to $7,000 (semester) or up to $3,000 (summer) based on confirmation of official FAFSA Expected Family Contribution. See details. Also see IES Abroad Scholarships and Aid available.
