Students looking for Psychology credit should first consider the programs highlighted on this page. Available coursework may include: courses pre-approved with an IU equivalent and courses that need to be evaluated. For IU Education Abroad Programs, see each program's Course Equivalencies list for details.
Students who need to fulfill specific major/minor requirements while abroad should consult their academic advisor.
Students are encouraged to get foreign courses evaluated for specific psychology credit before studying abroad by submitting the course description and syllabus to their academic advisor.
"I am more comfortable with myself now that I have studied abroad, and going alone to a foreign country has given me more confidence than I could have imagined."

Non-IU Program Options
Some students' interests might not be accommodated by the options given above. There are hundreds of additional study abroad programs throughout the world that IU students can participate in as a "Non-IU Program." Visit the Non-IU Programs section of our website to learn more about participating in these programs as an IU student.
To begin your search for a Non-IU program, we recommend browsing the websites of organizations with which we partner on multiple study abroad programs: CIEE, DIS, IES Abroad. Before you pursue one of their programs, make sure to check our website and make sure it is not a program that we co-sponsor – in which case you would apply to the program though our office.
Many IU students pursue programs through other providers. To browse programs through an array of providers, check out the IIE Passport website.
