Study in Israel

Students may study at three Israeli universities and transfer back credit to IUB:

• Ben-Gurion University
• University of Haifa
• Tel Aviv University

Study Elsewhere

Students may study abroad through a number of Non-IU provider programs and transfer credit back to IU:

• Lorenzo de Medici Institute in Florence, Italy (students must apply through a provider such as API, Broome Community College, or Wells College): Intermittently offers a few Jewish Studies History and Society courses 
• AIFS, Jewish Latin America: History, Literature, and Human Rights Program in Buenos Aires, Argentina (Transcipts from University of Connecticut)

Other universities also have departments/programs of Jewish Studies/Civilization, Hebrew, and Near and Middle East Studies where students may take courses. Note that Hebrew courses taught in the southern hemisphere may be off-sequence from Indiana University offerings. IU students have transferred credit back successfully from the following univerisities:

• University of London, Dept. of Lang. and Cultures of the Near and Middle East (UK)
• Trinity College, Herzog Center for Jewish and Near Eastern Religion (Dublin, Ireland)
• University of Cambridge, Jewish Studies in the Faculty of Divinity (UK)
• University of Edinburgh, School of Divinity (Edinburgh, Scotland)
• University College London, Dept. of Hebrew and Jewish Studies (UK) through IES Abroad
• McGill University, Dept. of Jewish Studies (Montreal, Canada)
• University of Toronto, Jewish Studies Program (Canada)
• University of Melbourne, Center for Jewish History and Culture (Australia)
• University of New South Wales, Jewish Studies Program (Sydney, Australia)
• University of Sydney, Dept. of Hebrew, Biblical, and Jewish Studies (Australia)

The following additional universities may be of interest; however, IU students have not yet transferred credit to IU. Students must work with International Admissions and complete a Credit Transfer Agreement to determine if credit will be accepted by IU.
