IU Passport Your link to IU from Abroad January 11, 2017
View online. | Welcome Home! With classes underway, we hope that are having a smooth transition back to life in the U.S. Remember to check out our "Returning to IU" section of our website, where you can find resources for matriculating coursework and to sign up to become a contact for prospective IU students considering your study abroad program.
Also check out these resources to help with that transition and to remain involved internationally at IU and in Bloomington.
If, like many others, you posted dozens (or hundreds!) of photos to Instagram, make sure you have tagged #IUStudyAbroad. It's a great way to see all the cool places your peers have been.
Overseas Study and the Kelley School of Business will be hiring some returned IUB study abroad students to work as peer counselors for the 2017-18 academic year. Peer counselors provide general advising for prospective study abroad students and promote study abroad in the campus community. More detailed information about the position and the application process will be sent by email in June. You must have participated in a semester or academic year program to be eligible. Only students who are available to work for the full academic year will be considered.
| | 2017 Photo ContestThis summer, you will have the opportunity to submit your study abroad photos for our annual photo competition. The Office of Overseas Study judges will choose winners in the categories of: IU Students Abroad, Local Culture, and Local Environments.
Photos submitted for the 2017 contest must have been taken while studying abroad during the 2016-17 academic year or summer 2017 and must have been taken by the entrant.
Winners will receive prizes from area restaurants and retail stores.
You will receive an e-mail in July with details on how to enter and additional eligibility information. Click here to view past photo contest winners. Below is the 1st-place winner in "Local Environment," submitted by Jennifer Baumgartner of Southern Iceland. | | ![]()
